Default Lightroom problem

A friend of mine was working in lightroom and she went to delete one picture and somehow it started deleting all her pics. 7600 down the drain.

So does anyone know of a way to retrieve all those pictures or is she going to have to chaulk this one up as a loss?

If its only the catalog then the images should still be on the disk it the images were saved on.

Just re-import them into the catalog then, OR try loading a backup copy of the catalog that way all your adjustments will still be there.

Sounds like user error. Probably too late now, but the undo command is a wonderful thing.

It just moves them into the Recycle Bin if she, in fact, deleted from disk. Unless you're using a mac then I don't know what it does with them...

Same thing. Just restore it from the trash.

I asked her if she checked the recycle bin, and I was told that they are not there. So is she pretty much SOL? I'm not sure if she had them backed up anywhere besides her laptop hard drive. I know she was working on multiple projects at the time so I couldn't tell you what happened but it does sound like user error

If this is the case, they wouldn't be in the recycle bin.
