Default How would you PP this shot?

Hello everyone,

I'm asking you for opinion on how you would post-process this shot.
The main subjects of the photo are the boy and the sheep in the background.
In its original state, I feel that the grass sharpness, maybe colour and high saturation detract from the boy.
Also, the whole image is in focus (taken with a P&S camera).

I tried lowering the saturation and vibrance of the grass, but it had little effect.

So, just wondering, what edits would you do to this photo (just your ideas on the steps involved)?

I wasn't a fan of the boy, who seemed fairly soft focused especially in the face.

Having the boy in the picture is the point of the picture. To show him and his story.

That's a great idea, I didn't think of completely changing it.
It does help, the contrast between his red jacket and green grass makes him stand out more. Thanks

Btw, how did you change it? Hue/Saturation in PS?

Still open for more suggestions..

yes. i duplicated the layer and went to the layer below and used hue and saturation, went back to the duplicate layer and with layer mask, brushed away the brown grass to reveal the green grass below the layer.
