Here are some pics for that effect with highly saturated and contracst feeling, but not exaggerated. These pics are obviously pretty similar in the retouching method, maybe the same action , preset and etc.

If I understand what you are asking, you are looking for ways to improve these images and you want them to be contrasty and super saturated. To be blunt, you can't have both. If you want loads of saturated colors that you need to lower the contrast. Full saturation occurs when in colors near the middle of the histogram. When you increase contrast you are pushing colors toward either end of the histogram and away from where they would be fully saturated. In the images above, the dark colors come out rich and fully saturated but the lights frequently look washed out and lack any detail. If this is the look you want, fine, but the skin tones don't look very natural to me. I don't know what the images looked like before you started processing them but I would back off on the amount of contrast you were applying. Perhaps if you were to post an unprocessed image we could help you a bit more.

You may be right, the syntax is a bit confusing. If they aren't his I would hope he would take his photography in a different direction. These don't pass muster, in my opinion.

I know the kind of shot he's after, you see quite a lot of wedding shots like this nowadays. You're right that these aren't the best examples though.

I dont know for sure... so this is a bit of a guess.

But if we take a standard bleach bypassy kinda technique which is to increase contrast other than just increasing it locally with the contrast tool and set it to screen it should really lighten everything up and increase contrast.

So heres my two pence worth lol:

Duplicate your image,

Run a black and white gradient map on the duplicate and set its blend mode to screen.

This is far!!! to much so if we apply a curves adjustment and start in the middle and pull it right down or apply an "s" curve which ever way you wish untill you get the result you want.

Then on the original layer adjust the saturation one such way would be hue saturation.

Like I say its a guess

Thanks LeeR and RecurrentNerve a lot.

Sorry for my unclear description that confused you.Exactly I want to know how to make the retouched effect like these samples.

I don't have the original pics but you can see they are just normal shooting pics without any special effect. So we can make test for all ones that looks shot in similar enviroment and scenes.

Yes,they are maybe not so precise in skin color retouching, but I still think this effect is pretty amazing.I wonder any similar presets or action available and keep looking for it now.Certainly, you will be welcomed to show your idea.Thanks.
