Oy - technical difficulties everywhere -- I'm retyping this because the previous one disappeared!
Anyway, I've been working in RAW for a couple of months and having a blast. However, I keep getting the BSOD with the message APC_Index_Mismatch and files are dumped. And now Camera Raw 2.0 has slowed down so much I can't use it (and all my pictures are in RAW now) ... I'm working on an HP Pavillion 3.2GHz Intel Core 15-560 Processor with 8GB RAM and nVIDIA GeForce GT230 graphics card. My camera is a Canon EOS Rebel Xsi. I just learned how to clear the cache which I will do tonight. Any other ideas? Can I update Camera Raw from 2.0 to the lastest one which I believe is 5.6? Will this affect the pictures I've already taken? Will it help? I'm so lost ... anyone have experience with this issue?

What version of Photoshop are you using? Adobe will only allow you to update ACR to the latest version for that version of Photoshop. Right now that means v5.6, but only if you have CS4 or higher.
If not, look into something like Lightroom?

I updated everything and it's working OK now -- cleared the cache and allowed photoshop to use more memory ... thanks.
