Question Lookin for a Lightroom plugin for simple frames/black edges

Hi. I think that the title pretty much sums it up.
I need a Lightroom plugin, or a way to add a simple solid color frame to my photos on export.
Thanks in advance

I am not sure you will find a plug in. You may find a 3rd party piece that you can export to then apply the border. A plug in will only automate the functionality that you can do with all the sliders and such.
There is a way to add a black border and that is in the print module. Add a black stroke, increase the stroke width as desired and then rather than sending the file to a printer export as a jpg.

I tried the printing thing but it also rendered all the white "paper" around the photo

Yes, it will.

There is an alternative. It surrounds the first method i mention...export to another program. Take a look at fastone's pic resizer. It is freeware and it will do batch processing so you can modify a whole folder of images in one group. Although it is primarily a resizer, you can turn off any compression. Within the option you can add borders, frames, watermarks, drop shadows and the like.

I have used this tool for quite some time and it is good for resizing but I wouldn't recommend to use it for conversion from RAW to JPG.. Thought of adding some caution here before you explore.

You can also build a frame if you are using the viniet (how the heck do you spell that again?) propperly or not, deppends on how you see it. You can make this a preset in LR and you are done... Quick and dirty... how we all like it.

I'd recommend LR/Mogrify 2 - LR/Mogrify 2 - Add Watermarks, Border and Text Annotions to Images Exported by Adobe Lightroom 2
It's highly configurable.
