Lightbulb Compositing attempt :)

Hey All,

I shot an image of my friend the other night (in a dark car park lol), the scene was set up using a softbox powered off the car.... I then used an old image i took of a light trail (4sec exposure) outside my house about 3 years ago... i then composited this image in the window sections to give it the effect...

This is my FIRST compositing attempt.. so be gentle!!

the original image:

J-Province test shot

and after:

J-Province Photoshoot

Heres the set to the rest of the images so far:

And the BTS video:

I would say it's a pretty seamless transition other that a few giveaways.
You could make the excuse that you did a selective coloring thing to leave the inside of the car in color while outside is black a white I suppose.
The one thing that throws me off is the slight blue color cast of the outer reflections on the divider between the windows. Since there's really no color on the interior parts of the car anyway, you could easily desaturate just that part and I think it'd be perfect.

thanks for the comment! yep you're right, i need to change the colour cast on there... When editing i actually desaturated the layer that had the light trail on it, i kinda preferred it as opposed to the whole image being one colour
