Hi - I am failry new to photoshop and love the effects it can create.
I love this photographer and was wondering how she may achieve the one on this page? Sugarplum Studio - Fine Art Photography - by Connie Hill Any ideas? I would love to be able to replicate the look in some of my photos. Thanks so much for your help! Jamie |

Great lighting, and clean processing with a touch of color pop and contrast.

Sorry - I don't mean to ask a dumb question but what do you mean by "clean processing"? is that something I can do in photoshop? (I am obviously new to PS).
I assume by color pop you mean using the layers and adjusting the color curves? Thanks for your expertise! |

No dumb questions, not to worry.
By "clean processing" I mean simple editing - perhaps some blemish removal, a bit of eye brightening, but no going overboard with actions/textures, etc. Color pop and contrast can be done with curves, just go light on it, you want it to be subtle, not neon. Adding a soft light layer at a reduced opacity will also add contrast and make colors richer. The most important thing though is her use of light is excellent. Without that, no amount of work in photoshop will give those results. ETA: Looking at the photo again, she may have used a texture on the background.
