Question CS5 and Nik Plugins not working

I can't get my Nik plugins to work with CS5..
If I run CS5 in 32bit mode it locks up, even if I boot my Mac (Snow Leopard) into 32bit mode.
Am I screwed? Any good plugins that will run in CS5 64bit (that don't cost a lot)?

You might have to run in 32-bit for now until the updates are released.

Nik Software, Inc. | Support

The 5th answer down the page should give you directions for how to run the plugins that way... but you just said it locks up so that's probably not much help.

Have you tried getting in touch with Nik Support? They're pretty on to it and while they don't have the 64-bit plugins available yet, maybe they can tell you if you're missing doing something. Don't think I could go without my Nik plugins

Could be, I was just wondering if you'd actually called their 1-800 number or tried emailing them

You might also try posting in their flickr group: Flickr: Nik Software Photo Share I know at least 2 of their support people actively monitor it, and I can't imagine that you're the only person who's had problems with CS5, so maybe someone there has some help too.
