Default Identity Plate In Lightroom?

I created a PNG image in Photoshop and managed to import it into Lightroom as an identity plate. I realized that I was only able to place and position the identity plate in Slideshow tab.

Is there any way that I can export an Jpeg image with the Identity Plate?

Thanks you!

Jason

Are you using LR2 or LR3? LR3 lets you use a graphic watermark (so you'd select your png for the watermark and it gives you all sorts of options for size / location / etc). LR2 only allows text watermarks, I believe. You might have to use something like LR/Mogrify 2 - Add Watermarks, Border and Text Annotions to Images Exported by Adobe Lightroom 2 if you have LR2.

An Identity Plate in LightRoom is just a custom image that you can use to replace the standard Lightroom logo that you see in the upper left of the application.

I am currently using LR2.4, it allows me to use graphic watermarks (png) but the problem is that, it only allows me to place the identity plate in the "Slideshow" tab. I can't export single photos with the identity plate from LR

Is there an alternative quick and easy way of placing a png watermark onto photos? On LR? PS?

Thank you!

Jason

Sounds like there might be a bit of confusion over things.

1. The identity plate is totally separate from a watermark. The identity plate only appears in LR, not on photos that you export.
2. You want the photos you export to have that png file that you're using on the identity plate.
3. LR2 only allows you to type text for a watermark (note watermarks are not the same as identity plates) and that text comes from the copyright notice in the metadata. This is how you do that: How to Add a Watermark With a Lightroom | eHow.com
4. If you want a graphic (or that png) to show up when you export your photos, you will need to download a plugin for LR, like the one I mentioned before. Otherwise you're stuck with just the copyright text.

Thanks for your detailed explanations Worked it out, instead I created a brush preset in PS

With the plugin you mentioned previously, requires a donation/price $$$ So I don't really wanna go to that option

Thanks so much!
