Photo Editing software for portaits

ok.. I'm still new at this but I am learning from you guys.. I have Photoshop 7 and I find it not user-friendly.. what I'm looking for is a software that helps my portraits look even more professional. I don't need a program with a whole bunch of effects... my "customers" like b&w, and portraits with great skintone and the "perfect" skin look... Now i am using a Fuji HS 10, and I know this isn't a DSLR, but I have been taking some great pictures with it and I would like to enhance them with an easy to use software.. any ideas would be great.

A lot of portrait photographers swear by Imagenomics Portraiture plug-in for Photoshop. It is a fast and easy tool with a short learning curve and amazing results: from scary to beautiful in a matter of seconds (check out the gallery!) However, I don't believe it is compatible with your version of PS. You may need to at least upgrade to one of the newer PSE versions.
