Default More on Amazing Circles

After reading ready123smile's post on Create Your Own Amazing Circles I thought I'd see how to do it yourself in your photo editing program of choice (e.g. Photoshop, Gimp, etc)... mainly because I get bored and enjoy not doing things the easy way.

So, I found a very easy tutorial on "How to create Amazing Circles". Seriously only took me like 5 minutes to make my tulip circle:

The only thing I did different from the tutorial was select the circle after I'd finished, then inverted the selection and deleted the background. Just made it stand out more to have it on white.

I don't know that many people would rather do it themselves instead of just going to a quick link, but I figure, you never know, so here's the info.

Thanks Nicole for this tutorial posts. This gives me more choices than the quick result from dumpr.net.

This is the original -

From http://www.dumpr.net/amazing-circles.php. Quick result but you don't have a choice if you don't want the finished picture.
Circle Sample

Using Photoshop. I played with the contrast and sats and get vivid colors.

Here's mine, based on a picture someone took at a recent gig by my band:

Strings for Cuba - Amazing Circle

With painted banners in the background and some processing on the image in the foreground (because it was grainy and the colours weren't great), the whole thing has ended up looking like something painted for a 1970s prog rock album... which is fairly fitting!
