Default pink is orange

Hi - I'm relatively new to printing my digital photos -- I bought an Epson Photo Stylus R2880. I calibrated my monitor with Spyder3Pro ... I have an HP w2338h LCD monitor. I understand it won't be exact but geesh. Recently I printed this fireworks picture:

Fireworks1 20100704

1 - it's darker
2 - loss of detail
and
3 - the pink came out orange!

I print from photoshop CS4 and it set to "photoshop manages color"

Anything else I can try?

You may have calibrated your monitor but, as Susan mentioned, that doesnt mean it, in any way, reflects what your printer is doing. You have to get them working together.
