Default How to easily add watermarks on pics [lightroom2]

Hello guys,

I have been looking on google for something that allows me to add a simple watermark on my pictures.
I use lightroom 2, and I am not able to save the watermark, even if during the exportation I check the option.

I have created a watermark I'd like to use, but I can see it only on the slideshow and print section of the application.

I read that there is a way to print to file, in this way I would be able to save my pics with a watermark, but then the picture has a useless white border, that cannot be removed (page setup does not allow any 'full page' print...crap!).

Any Idea?

I would like something like a program, where I can add my watermark, or where I can create one and then using a batch add my pics and... DONE!

I have heard about a plugin for lightroom, but it is not for free. And I DO NOT think anyone should pay for something like a 'watermark adder' application.

Thanks

Nesh

You can add your copywrite easily but your identity plate only when you print. The print margins have pre-set minimums so I do not know how you can get rid of the border if you go that route. There are other programs where you can batch add a watermark - that are free. Check out Fastone picresizer. It is a compression program but you can add watermarks individually or in batch with the compression to set to zero.

I use Lightroom 3 and all I did was to go into Metadata and edit your copyright info. It offers a lot more that #2 for doing this with your copyright information. You can position it to show anywhere in the picture and what size and what ever else you want.

Yes, there is LMogrify to create watermark on lightroom and it is a donation ware. You can give as little as 1$ as donation. It is a very powerful watermark plugin.

To get rid of the white borders, do the following:

1. Click "check" under Custom File Dimension, you do not need to change the number, just check the box.
2. Next, under Lightroom templates on the left, select "Maximize size", located toward the bottom.
3. Last, under Image settings, check "zoom to fill" and "rotate to fit".

You should be able to get rid of the white borders; however, the image will be zoom in to fit so you might lose the outlined image.

Hope that helps!
