Default CS2 is messing with me

Holy Crap! After much debate and hemming and hawing, I have decided to make the great leap to RAW.

Yay me.

I have a Canon 50D and CS2.

It would seem that CS2 has decided to destroy my plans because it tells me "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document."

CS2 opens RAW files from my Rebel XT, but not my mucho pricey 50D?

Can someone help?

Thanks!

You need to update CS2 to the most current version. If that fails, then welcome to the Adobe Tax.

Adobe will only allow you to update CS2 to the most version of that software, but you may need CS3 or higher to read the files. Its the cost of updating your camera.

Try updating the Adobe Camera RAW software first.

I have RAW 3.7, which is the last update for cs2 on their site. Can I use more recent plug-ins?

Nope. If that's the latest version that CS2 will update to, you're outta luck.

Welcome to the Photoshop Tax!
