As a newbie, I have limited equipment and knowledge. My idea was to get basic things to learn with then when I get comfortable, upgrade (slowly due to cost's) equipment and software.
Well here is one of my attempts at PP on a photo I took today. Here is the picture after my attempt. ![]() I am fairly happy with the outcome but would love to know what other people who have more understanding of PP software would do? Below are the details of equipment, then what I did. Feel free to use the image to demonstrate, the only way I am likely to learn is by experienced members giving any valued advice. Thanks in advance. Camera: FUJIFILM FinePix S1500 Exposure: 0.003 sec (1/300) Aperture: f/5.0 Focal Length: 5.9 mm ISO Speed: 64 Exposure Bias: 0 EV Flash: Off, Did not fire Software: Paint.NET v3.5.5 Reduced Contrast, Hue, Increased Brightness. Auto sharpened, used crop to remove most plain backround to make the subject more dominant. I also reduced noise which was visable on the fly and finally added text.

The fly is out of focus and the text is almost invisible. Not sure there's PP advice to be given here: the shot can't be saved.
