Question How to make a triptych in Gimp?

I need to make a triptych (it may end up being a diptych), I have Gimp as my main editing program. I also have faststone.
If someone could explain to me how to make a triptych in Gimp (or faststone) I would be sooo grateful!

Try to keep it as simple as possible, I'm still learning all this PP stuff!
Also, I don't know much about layers and masks, so if it involves those,
a "click this icon" or "go here, then there, then click on [blank]" would be helpful.

Thanks so much!

I know. It is an hour long, and I don't have an hour to spend staring at the computer. Thanks for you reply though!

Try this Indigo. Splash of Style » How To Create Photo Diptychs, Triptychs & Montages They are using PSE, but I am sure you can translate what they are talking about. I use layers when I do mine, but this one just uses two base files.
It looked fairly simple.

I hope this helps!

Thanks Luke! I just found this, it uses layers but some how I was able to understand it.
I did a little test, to see if I could do it. I've attached the result. It was way easier than I though it would be!

I'll have to try that way too. Thanks!

I have an idea for a triptych for the new comp Sime posted, got two shots done, just have to figure out the third......

Well, here's the test triptych. Worked out pretty well! :-)

Thats actually quite nice looking! I am glad you found something. I am at work, and anything from flickr is filtered, so I can't even access the site. I just found that blog on a whim.

Thanks, I just grabbed a few random shots to try it out. Glad you liked it, and that you liked the final one for my entry!
