Default Signatures??

I am relatively new to all of this and was wondering how you guys put signatures on your photographs when you post them> Also how do you get the borders around them? They make some of the pictures look really nice.

Thanks for any help.

When you say "signature" do you mean watermark?

Or did you mean signature for when you post stuff on the forum?

I'm using the Ghostwriter plugin for Bibble Pro to place a watermark on my photos. In the past I've used ImageMagick to add a border and some text.

Thanks for the reply's. I was talking about the names that appear on the photos that look like someone signed it with their signature. Not sure if that would actually be considered a watermark, I think more of a trademark kind of thing.I would figure this is something that could be done in Adobe PS? I use PS, but I am not very skilled at it. Kind of self taught. Does anyone know how it is done in there?

No idea about PS, just that it's possible.

If you use the text tool and set the font to look like a signature you can get something that looks like you signed it

The fastest way to see how it is done is simply go to You Tube and type in what you want. Example. Watermark PS3,4 or 5 or what ever program you are looking at. Really try it it is so simple and a great way to see hands on how things are done.

I created a brush in PS by scanning my signature. Then I can "paint" my signature in any size or color with one click.
The other common way is to create and save layer that you subsequently add to an image where you want a signature/watermark.
