I have tried both LR and Aperture and I was starting to really like the Apple product, but I have been finding that the images are loading into aperture are coming up very grainy... I did switch over to shooting in RAW, but even with the JPEG images I am seeing this same problem (I am shooting at the maximum setting BTW). Any adjustments to the exposure greatly compound the problem to the point where I am afraid to proceed with printing.
The other thing that is strange is that the RAW images are getting some processing automatically before I mess with them - is that something to be expected with RAW images? Are they being processed based on the information included in the image as provided by the camera? I also need to do some reading because I dont understand the deal with the versions of the image. I delete the images I do not like, but I am not sure if they are actually deleting them or if I am only deleting the version I tweaked. Then I am wondering how I get rid of the 'master' when I no longer see that image in the viewer. I am sorry if this stuff is probably very basic. If there is something I should have read, or need to read - please point me in the direction. |
