Question I have CS5... now what?

Hello guys,

I finally got my CS5 installed on my iMac but, oh, boy... it's really intimidating! I don't know where to start from... I was on the weekend at the Henry's Digital Imaging Show in Toronto and took one of their free seminars. Well, it made perfectly sense when I followed the instructions but, when I got home, I realized that I could not remember much! - and I can say that I am computer expert, although not quite in this area of expertise.

When I started using Lr the learning curve was not so steep, but this Ps scares me!
So, where should I start from? Any good tutorials on the net that you can recommend?
Any input is much appreciated.

Wishing you all a nice day,
Laurentiu

Read up on Adjustment Layers and Masking that's pretty much all you will need for the majority of your work. I would also read up on each of the tools in the toolbar but for the most part the selection tools and the healing and clone brush will be your most used ones.

Photoshop overwhelmed me at first, too. Take it bit by bit, check out tutorials on the subjects Murtasma listed by googling and using youtube. Pick up a book by Scott Kelby, such as The Adobe Photoshop CS5 Book for Digital Photographers. He can lead you through things step by step.

The Kelby book won't be out until August. Here is one available now, and I think you would find it very helpful....
