I just re-installed my computer with cs4 and lightroom 2.6 (use tto have photoshop 7)
On my old computer I had adobe gamma that i calibrated my monitor with. So now when I go into lightroom my images ARE so DARK... I MEAN DARK So I then open the same image up in Picasa Viewer and its like 50% lighter than the file in Lightroom? How do I now recalibrate my monitor to allow me to work? As i don't want to start to edit my images and make them SUPER light then when you look at them on the web or just in general they will not be right Any ideas? Thanks |

If you don't want to buy a calibration tool, here are a few sites that have calibration aids. Mostly monitors, there's also one for printers in there.

ok thanks
Very strange still as not sure why my computer is taking the wrong SETTINGS>. Like I said I open any adobe product and they are YELLOW images.. like its grabbing the wrong profile for my settings. But if i open it up wiht just a normal image viewer they look great..
