Changing background wall color...

Ok, I've tried everything under the sun that I already know how to do but nothing is quite working. I want to know how to change the color of a wall in a background. it's pretty easy until I have to deal with face/headshots and have to work around hair.

Can anyone PLEASE help me? And feel free to take this photo and change the backgroudn to ANY color you like. I use Paint shop Pro.

i used photoshop to do this. i don't know if you have quick mask in paint shop pro

Oh amazing! that's exactly what I'm trying to do; I'll look into a quick mask option on PSP. I don't actually ever even work w/ 'masks' on PSP. Perhaps I should start!
