Default The color in this photo??
Hi everyone,
I'm new to the message boards to please forgive if I have posted this in the wrong area. I'm pretty sure it's post processing but I am a beginner so I know nothing. Some photos that I have been seeing look as if the color has been desaturated or something to that effect. I love the way it looks and would like to learn how to do this. Again I'm pretty sure this is a basic thing you all know so sorry. Thanks!!

Hi, Bedhead1903. Welcome to DPS.

Do you have and use an edit program? Which one? Camera model/type? These will make an answer easier to fit to your needs. And we are all sorts here - beginner to expert, so someone has a good answer for you. And yes, it's probably a desaturated edit, whether in-camera or post-production.

I have a Nikon D5000 and I usually use PS CS4. However Im not that good in PS so I have been using lightroom and I love it!

if the image you posted is unedited, it looks overexposed. there is no detail in the shirt and the clothes of the child. the highlites are washed out. try looking at your metering.
