![]() I like the style of these two photographers (Strona główna*- Fotografia Lidka i Marcin Sacha) (I guess they are two) But I have noticed that they add fog to their pictures and PP them a lot. Can someone share his opinion about any possible techniques. Does anyone know how to add some fog to pics using photoshop? regards |

That's not fog added in post: thats fog. You'll have to get up and be on site before dawn to get this.

Try
(1) Menu/Layer/new/NewLayer (2) Menu/Filter/clouds or fill the layer with white if you want a "smoother" fog. (3 Adjust the opacity of the new layer. (4) Mask (layer mask) out the areas where you do not want the fog to be. (5) For variation try normal & screen blending modes with variations in opacity.

I would actually use a very fine texture here or a white background with monochromatic noise added and mask it in, duplicate it and wash/rinse/repeat in areas where you want a heaver effect. Decrease the opacity of the layers to around 5%. This is time consuming if you want it to look as good as the one you have above, but attainable for sure. You will probably end up with 20 or so layers by the time you are finished.
I use a lot of texture on my blog posts and do give examples of blending mode methods as well.
