There is enough information given to answer the question in the original posting.

With a Nikon D3000 being a relatively new camera you may need to upgrade to the latest version of CS.
Adobe doesn't backdate its older raw convertors for newer cameras once a new version of CS comes out.

Check with Adobe's web site for RAW compatability.

If you go to Adobe's website, you can find the Camera Raw plugin version which supports your camera. That is what I had to do for CS2. It took a little bit of searching.

The signature wasn't there when I made my post. Thanks for being condescending though.

If you can't afford to upgrade Photoshop to a version that takes the ACR needed for your camera (happens a lot. It's what's jokingly referred to as the "Photoshop tax" when you buy a new camera), there is a way around it.

Use DNG.

Adobe puts up a DNG converter for free on its website. With it, you can convert any RAW files to DNGs, which CS2 can open and mess with. It's how I use older version of PS and LR with my S90 and 50D's RAW files, even though neither one can use versions of ACR that understand them.
