Question Wallpaper calendar - help

I plan to create a calendar wallpaper with some of my photos. I have started a 365 project, and maybe sometime after the halfway mark (around June) I'll start selecting my best pics, and create a wallpaper with a calendar. So each month I'll have a different wallpaper on my desktop
Was just wondering if there's any software that will let me add the monthly calendar to a photo? I guess I've seen such wallpapers on webshots.

I use GIMP 2.6 for my post processing. Any plugins available? How do I add the calendar to the photo.

Thanks in advance

/J

I would think you would make a calendar for the month and then add it as a layer to the photo.

Lazy me! I hadn't checked gimp plugin registry before posting here.
Ran a quick search and found this,
Search | GIMP Plugin Registry

I'll try it out sometime later and post the result here

Default GiMP Scripts

Hi,
At last found some one who is insisting on using GiMP.
I suggest you visit this site
GIMP Plugin Registry | A repository of optional extensions for the GIMP.
The above site contains lots of scripts that can be used in GiMP for creating exceptional effects. I have used a few and love it.
You will need to install/copy those scripts to C:\Program Files\GIMP-2.0\share\gimp\2.0\scripts.
But I think there is a proper way to install these scripts. I wish I could tell you how, but don't remember it now.

Try a few scripts and may be you will fall in love with them. Then you can use them in your calendar.

Hope it helps.
