This might be more appropriate on a computer forum but I thought I would give this a shot. Does anyone know of a way to transfer files from a Mac to a PC. I recently bought a laptop with Windows 7 on it. Before that I used a Mac. I am running Lightroom 2 and I am trying to move everything over but am running into some problems. I had hoped I could just unplug my external HD from the Mac and plug into the laptop and all would be good. I have since learned they use different formats of memory. Any ideas? I have moved my catalogue onto my laptop LR but without the original DNG's it can't do anything.

Two things you can try.
1). Find a piece of software on the Windows side that reads HFS+ (Journaled) disks like MacDrive, or HFSExplorer. or 2). Get another hard drive. Plug it into the Mac, and format it to FAT32, then copy the files onto it from there. FAT32 is the linga franca of hard drive formats. ![]() 3). If you run Windows with Parallels on OSX, you could transfer the files that way.
