Soooooo, what I want to make is one of those pretty watermarks with the see-through rectangle that goes across the image, with the text over top of it.
Theeeeeen, I want to batch resize my portrait and landscape photos at the same time, and put the above watermark on them, in relatively the same spot every time. I have Photoshop CS4 and I cannot seem to do it. I can't even do it for just all portraits at once. Is this impossible? Right now for batch resizing for web, I just basically image resize using 20%; this gives me an image around 800 pixels on the long side (unless I have cropped the *%&$ out of the original). Am I totally going about this the wrong way? I'd really appreciate any help with this. Please, please pretty please! ~C

Okay, so I found a tutorial (in another forum) with a quicktime video that helped me make an action to get the watermark to the bottom right of each photo despite the orientation. It involved making a path of the text and inserting it into the action. However, I can't make my pretty low opacity rectangle behind it, because the align layers thing won't work with the custom shape
Anyone know how to fix this?

I got it to work....woohoo! I added the shape at the end after deleting my path and all that good stuff, and it finally worked. Here's the link to the tut I modified in case anyone else needs help.
