Default how to smudge out

Hi, I have this pic of my grandson that I blurred out. However, what can I use in Photoshop to get rid of the distracting piece on the right side that's part of his high chair. I've tried a number of edit processes but none look good. I don't know much about PS, so I could use some help. Sorry, it really doesn't look that grainy in the picture. I don't know why it does on here. Thanks!!

you can use the rubberstamp tool with the brush set to 50% hardness and 60% px size and carefully choose the source points and brush away the distracting piece on the right side and the small line at the top.

I would crop it somewhat too. The face is lovely, do a tight crop on it..

I can't really see the offending part you are referring to.. could you circle it and I'm sure someone will remove it for you.
