Red face how to add frames and watermark to photos ?

hi, i have been photographing since quiet few months,my hobby still being in its infant stages. i have collected a good sum of digital photographs and would like to:

1. add water mark or signature to the photos. like 'vishal tomar photogaphy' or such (by the way is it right to do so, or are such signatures/water marks better left to senior/pro photographers and not rokies like me ?)

2.add frames to them.

3.would like to know are there any softwares to automate both jobs (curently i use picasa to add signatures,/watermarks. and still trying to figure out how to make simple frames in photoshop.

4.all the patience appreciated,thanks a lot.

there are lots of ways to add watermarks and frames. And you can any watermark you want regardless of your experience level - it is your art!

Some programs will allow you to create a macro or action that will run a picture through the process, some will allow you to do a bunch of images in a single batch... I know photoshop does...for a freeware application check out Faststone resizer. I use it to batch resize images for the web but it will also add frames, shadows, watermarks and you can leave the image the same size if desired....and be able to do folders of images at one time!
There are probably others out there as well. Good luck and have fun.
