Default PP on portraits. How do I get that look?

I have noticed a lot of portraits now-a-days (esp of children) have a clean sort of look, some examples here. Is this look obtained PP?
I have some baby portraits I want to clean up but not sure exactly how.

Thanks

There are a whole bunch of different editing styles in there. Care to point any one in particular.

Thanks OS

I love how the colours in the pics are really saturated yet the skin in so clear, almost glowing and white. Does that make sense?

Their is a slider in Photoshop RAW called "Vibrance." It will adjust saturation levels while ignoring skin tones. See if that will help. Also, the site you mention has some great example of good lighting. No easy fix for that, you just have to master it.

They are using a "mask" in their PP to keep the skin from being over saturated. Before learning this tip with masking, when I would saturate the colors (I love the vibrant, color-pop look with portraits), the skin would also be saturated and look horrible. So, I learned that you would need to mask out the skin.

If you're not familiar with using masks in Photoshop (or whatever photo editor you're using), I highly recommend that you learn it. It is an essential tool in your PP.

HTH!

I think we are both looking for the same effect. I have noticed a trend in wedding photos I have seen that have a similar almost over exposed effect. At least that is the only way I can describe it.

if you look at the 3rd 4th and 5th shots in that portfolio that is what I am looking for help on. Sorry to post to the whole portfolio I can not find individual examples at the moment
