Default Do you have any of your own prints hanging in your place?

just wondering how many people hang up their own photographs in their homes.

i, personally, printed about 16 of my favorite pictures and put them in various frames in my entryway. most are 8x10 or 10x12. i was thinking of maybe blowing up a few and having 2 or 3 large prints or possibly canvas prints hanging instead.
anyone done anything similar?

Well, I have my state fair blue ribbon winner framed and hanging in the living room, complete with ribbon. That's the only photograph of mine that I have on display that's not of my kids. I have several of my boys (probably 4 or 5 of each one) framed and on display in different locations throughout the house.

However, we live in a very small house with limited wall space, so there's not much up anyway. We intend to purchase land and build within the next few years, and my DH is already planning a "gallery space" for me to hang my favorites.

Hi,
Yes, I think it's a good practice to hang work that you like. It's also a good idea to occasionally hang up a print you might not be too sure about, perhaps a new technique you were trying out and live with it a bit.
Good question.

I do. I bought a bunch of 4x6 frames from walmart. Have them hanging up in my bedroom. I like when people come over and ask about the pictures.

I didn't until last weekend when I went print-crazy. My wife wanted to redecorate parts of the house and decided she wanted to use some of my photos. We how have a 13X19 print of some flowers, a cluster of four 4X6 landscape shots, and a collection of three 5X7 macro flower shots.

i have alot of pics of kids, animals, scenery, etc. floating around my walls. mostly 5x7 prints. I hope to add more to it now with walmart and CVS do it yourself photo printers (save my ink..yea!!!! lol)
one of the cheaper places i've found to buy frames is the dollar store and dollar tree. they can be spray painted, detailed and added to if necessary.
hope that helps anyone looking for frames or ideas.

Hi,

I had one of my prints enlarged to 20x30 and professionally framed. Proudly displayed in my living room. It becomes a talking point generally with visitors. Have a couple of others done up as 5x7 on a side display table.

Cheers
