Default Please help me!

I need immediate help touching up a photo. It is my ex-husband's photo. He lost his battle with cancer this morning and his brother asked if I could help with this photo. It is a very low resolution and I don't have the photoshop experience (or software) to touch it up. He asked if the plant and shadow in the background could be removed. The photo is for his obituary and I don't believe it will be enlarged or printed other than in the newspaper. Any help will be greatly appreciated. God bless you for helping me with this.

Roger

I don't know if this is the right place for this or not. Mods, please move to appropriate location if you need to.
Thank you,
Dianne

Is this a crop or re-size from a larger photo? If so, it might be better to post the original version to work on. I'll wait for your answer before I make an attempt on this photo. I'm not an expert at Photoshop but I'm certainly willing to give it a go for you. I'll subscribe to this thread so I'll receive any your reply immediately.

Thank you so much! This is the original size that his brother sent to me. It was taken a couple of years ago with a low res p&s. I doubt if there is a better file available. We would appreciate any help you could give.

Ok. I'll give it a go. No promises... but I really hope I can help.

I did this a little on the quick side as I'm not sure what sort of time frame you're working with. With a little more patience I'm sure I could do a little better with removing the plants... so the blinds don't look distorted so much.

If it's not quite what you were looking for, let me know and I'll give it another go.

Thank you so much. I know it was a poor quality image to attempt any work on. I'm grateful for you taking the challenge and his family will appreciate you for doing this. Many thanks to you.

Not the best, but did what I could do as well. Maybe someone can work off this now...
