Default Curiosity about Film through Digital affects!

Hi everyone,
My name is Rob and this is my very first thread. I have been taking digital photos for the last 3 months. I have a Canon Rebel Ti and three lenses. I absolutely love it. I have a photoblog which I try and have a photo on it everdayAbsolute Gak - Daily Dose. They may not have been taken on the day but I usually take enough to fill it out just right. For last three months anyway I have been learning about my camera and taking shots. I have strictly been using Manual and I have not been editing my photos other than cropping. This was just for my learning benefit. However lately my eye has looked towards HDR and other cool things.

I just discovered a canon rebel ti 35mm on the internet for $45 and I was thinking of buying it to use some colour negative film. I really just like the way the film turns out. However getting film developed is another thing that is a pain and is why digital photography is great. I was wondering if anyone knew a way to get the same affect of colour negative film but through digital picture? I have found a polaroid converter that puts images I have taken into a digital polaroid...they look great but you are limited to how big the pictures come out.
