Question Help me with correcting white balance

I took this really cute photo... but I forgot to change my camera's white balance from tungsten to sunlight, so it has this blue tint to it. After messing with the white balance settings in digiKam (see attachment) this was what I got (also, I had no idea what I was doing ). To me it still has this greenish tint...

Can anyone help me make the white balance perfect?

i think you got it prety close in the 3rd frame. However, It is also underexposed.

this can be corrected in post processing. in photoshop, when you open the image, correct for underexposure either by levels or curves, then with the white eyedropper tool click on the white clouds to correct the blue tint. fine tune by going to hue and saturation and saturate a bit. then go to adjustments, contrast, and adjust a bit to add a little contrast. next with the dodge tool, set to 3pixels and highlights, brush the white of the eyes a bit .
attached samples.

Getting white balance perfect in a JPEG can be challenging. I hope you're not working on the original image file.
Try to keep the adjustments down to a minimum...the more adjusting you do, the more degraded the JPEG will become.

I'm not familiar with digiKam, but it looks like you're getting the color close to a natural look...image could be warmed up a bit, it's on the cooler side. And the image is kinda flat...could use a little more contrast. And it is a touch underexposed.

No, I make sure to do my editing with the RAW file
The example image only had that little bit of white balance correcting done to it. This was my final version.

Also, digiKam is a Lightroom like app for Linux. They are mostly the same... though Lightroom has stuff like dedicated sliders for stuff like highlights and shadows. That's really the only thing I know for sure that only Lightroom has

How do I do that when I've already got the color temperature maxed out at 12000k!?

If you shoot in RAW then the RAW file really doesn't have any white balance applied to it by the camera, it gets applied to the image after you bring it into the RAW editor. You should be able to adjust the white balance to where you want it.

Did you try any of the other white balance presets in digiKam?

Just What Is A RAW File Anyway?

Well, I'm feeling pretty stupid right now...

Before you start editing your photo in digiKam, it opens up the RAW importer. I usually just click import and then start messing with it. I have totally been overlooking the option in the RAW importer... one of which is white balance.

I'm pretty sure I've got the correct white balance now. Thanks for all the help everyone.
