Default PaintShop Photo Pro X3

Well I am finally gonna buy a laptop that will be able to handle editing software and was gonna get Elements 8 but saw the new PaintShop Photo Pro X3 just came out. I have heard that it can be more user friendly for inexperienced people as myself and right now you can get a discount until the 7th. I don't know if you have to tell them you saw the special price on the webinar or it is just a gimmick for everyone. It says you can get the full version for 79.99 or the upgrade for 59.99. The you tube videos look nice just wondering what the rest of you might think before I pull the trigger and order it.

Default Paintshop Pro Photo X3

I have been using X2 Ultimate and upgraded to X3 recently. There are some changes in the program that I use and I find it quite good. It's very similar to Photo Shop and it does the job (for me). I still use an old copy of PhotoShop 7 but it's not up to the standards of the recent versions.
Some photographers in our camera club love this software and others will only use PhotoShop and some use free versions of Picasa or others.

You may like X3 and stick with it, others find Corel is slow to release " Camera RAW" updates. Not a problem if you convert to TIFF or JPEG with your camera software before using X3
I have a copy of PaintShop Pro X2 for photographers written by Ken McMahon which explains the use of this software very well. Most is applicable to X3.

Good Luck,
Fred
