I personally love taking pictures of my children at the beach. I really like this shot and the angle. I'm not a pro so I don't have much. I like the over exposed look of hte picture, to me, that's what makes it pretty.

I really like it, the tilt of the horizon works well in this image to help create a playful mood. I like the exposure as well. I would take a moment to try and clone that flare spot on his shirt out. I would also try adding a touch more contrast to the image.

I think what you are trying to achieve is "Cross-lighting" or "Wrap-around" lighting-where the subject is backlit by the sun,and sidelit at 45 degrees by flash. Your subject, anyway is too small in the picture, and the angle of the horizon, with a blown out sky spoils it. ken

I too like the tilt and the overxposed look. The one thing I am not fond of tho, is the space to the one side of him. Just too much dead space fo rme.

Thank you Windrider and Ken...
Ken, I wasn't really sure what I wanted to achieve, but I will try to use the flash at a 45 degree angle... Maybe that will help me to maintain more detail in the picture...:-) Thanks for your imput guys..:-) Sabina |
