Personally, I wouldn't change a thing. I love that it's black and white (although I find myself being partial to b&w photos). The photo is really great and I love the composition. The lines in the photo are great! Great job!

I actually prefer the original to the suggested edits. I think the black frame around the shot really helps pull you into the picture, and you composed this very well. Love the tones of black and white you found in this image, and the candid feel you get in this picture. =)

yeah i agree with last post , the only thing i find is that i am drawn to the light smudge by the doorway, i dont think its a bad thing, might be just me , cool pic tho xx

I like Jim's edit because it helped draw out the images using the necessary contrast and brightness to help the subject pop.
Very nice comp. What are you doing to convert? What is the process? For me, I like to edit my pics then do a gradient Map conversion. If I need to afterwards I will play with curves to tweak the contrast... but that is usually taken care of with my first edits. Great shot... keep practicing. |
