Hi Peter and welcome to DPS,

I think your shot is very nice and i love the BW conversion. Is there anything you need critique on?

Welcome. Nice shot. I like dramatic style portraits. I like the pose. I would have done a little tighter crop to avoid having so much dead space on the right side of the photo. Play with the crop some and see what you think.

Personally I think it's bit dark. The right side of the face is lost in the background. But if that's the effect you are going for awesome. But like I said, it's just not my cup o tea. Very nice job on the pose and B&W.

I love the pose and his expression. Like others said you could crop it just a tad to take some of the dark out of the bottom right corner. It would be nice if there was just a bit more contrast so he stands out from the dark jacket and background.

thanks alot guys basically i wanted a critique on the whole image, the right hand side is abit dark, it wasnt intentional, the shutter speed was too fast for the flash, so as a result i got this black line on the far right of the image. But once i converted this to B&W, it looked alot better, thanks for all the comments, they really help!

Just a bit underexposed I have brought out detail on the coat, and added contrast. Ken

Nice pose, good composition. I think it's underexposed a bit.
