Default The Art of the Brick.

WOW. It's been several months since my last visit here at DPS.
I've been busy with school & examinations. Well, here it goes ! Recently, I went to Singapore for a visit & for some reason, I too went for Nathan Sawaya's Exhibition, 'The Art of The Brick' at the ArtScience Museum (near the renowned Marina Bay Sands).

An excerpt introduction from his website:
"Nathan Sawaya is a New York-based artist who creates awe-inspiring works out of some of the most unlikely things. His recent North American museum tours feature large-scale sculptures using only toy building blocks. LEGO® bricks to be exact."

These are some highlights from his exhibition. I'm glad that I joined the DPS community early & I'm really proud to be a member, because through DPS I'm what I am today.

    Till then...

    Nice shots,
I have just spent the last three days building lego with my son (Birthday presents), and I know I will have many days more next week
Fortunately for me, I know what I'll be getting for Christmas so expect a plethora of lego shots to be coming out of my camera.

I am surprised you were allowed to take the shots in the first place, were there no restrictions by the gallery?

Thanks you everyone JDFlute, haha ! Can't wait for the shots & Yeah I was allowed to take photos, the only condition they had was, no flash photography. Luckily, I had my 35mm f/1.8 & it saved the day !

This series should be in the "Other category". If you had captured the artist as the statues were being assembled, now that would tell a photojournalism type story.
