Default Great Ocean Road (east)

The Eastern reach of The Great Ocean Road is very different from the west. The rugged cliffs are replaced by beautiful beaches (well for Victoria anyway, this little Queenslander thinks we have the best beaches).

The very picturesque town of Apollo Bay.

Apollo Bay

We decided to spend the night just out of Apollo Bay in a place called Skenes Creek, and found this very pretty beach at sunset.

Great Ocean Road

This is my favourite from an an excellent collection. It's great colours, light and shade, mood and atmosphere. View larger to fully appreciate this set.

Thankyou Beach, I really appreciate your comments. This little beach was the icing on the top of the cake to a wonderful day. From the photos of London Bridge to here was one day, only traveled 90klms but they were amazing. I only went down to the beach because I thought it was probably my last chance to take a picture of the sun setting over the water for some time, nearly turned around because it was a lot further than I thought and I was exhausted. So glad I kept going.
With regards to the people photography, I might have to start trying your second idea.

Yes, that second one popped right out at me, even before I scrolled down to Steve's larger version -- thanks for doing that, Steve, it really deserves it! Michele, what I love about it is that you've really shown us the light at sunset, not just color. It's really glorious. And the others are wonderful too; a beautiful set!
