Thank you so much for bringing us these images and Walter's story. We can learn more today than ever before and never leave our homes. We can surf the net, share a hobby or passion with friends across great distances. News comes to us in seconds, not hours, days, weeks or years. All this knowledge and information at our finger tips, but there is nothing like setting down with someone like Walter and hearing it from the "horse's mouth" so to speak.
I used to ride my bike to my grandmother's house, just to set and hear her stories. She came west on a wagon as a little girl. I could go on, but this is about Walter and your fine post. I would encourage all, find you're Walter and ask them about the road they have traveled. As you look back with them, you may find a lot of the same curves you have made and some you have yet to navigate. Thanks again for your wonderful post and images. God's speed Walter!!!

Duane, what a privilege you've given us to me this delightful man. The story is wonderful, and your portraits of him are absolutely beautiful; I love them both -- the first for the beautiful lighting, and the second for the serene expression. You've really let us see his joy and contentment. Thanks so much for sharing these!
