Thanks William but I'm actually thinking about throwing in the towel. I've been at this for 28 years now and as the old song says, "the times they are a changin." The newbie photographers don't seem to be too interested in learning off camera lighting and proper posing or proper exposure. The new mantra is "slap a speedlight on and make a thousand captures, fix the best 10 or 20 in Photoshop and show em off." They believe what they see on YouTube, that every pro photographer spends his entire day shooting beautiful half dressed women; they never take a meter reading or a white balance check nor do they ever move the lights. Oh well, its been fun!

I've read that numerous times, great stuff in there a lot of people would have never thought about.

You should write one on how to properly light a model that charges poses every 10 seconds.

I thought you did portrait/lighting workshops?

I am newbie here Benji, and I just want to let you know that we are not all like that. I really want to learn everything I can about proper exposure, and lighting, which I see as a completely different animal from ambient lighting techniques. So don't throw it in yet! There is still hope for some of us! I love your work btw!
