The baby looks adorable, but the busy background of the chair its on is distracting. There looks to be more than enough light in general, but I would edit out the yellow/orange tinges to this.

Definitely need to work on White Balance settings on the camera but that can be fixed. Another thing to do would use the off color with some antiquing scratches to give it an old, faded '50s '60 magazine feel. They do need some cropping.

That baby's got smile!

I probably would have used a larger blanket to cover the busy fabric on the couch/chair, but I know reshooting with a baby can be such a ....pain (I have 4 kids)... so I think the best thing if to do is get rid of the yellow/orange like Kathryn said. The poses are great - super cute baby and family!

It never fails: new members see you do it, they begin to flood the thread with multiple photo-posts. Works best with one photo per post.

Here's a better fix. I've moved it to Photographing People - you will still get comments and ideas but don't need to limit yourself to just one shot.

I think they are adorabale but your white balance was off and the hand ont he first one is blurred. The teddy bear may also be too much competition for the baby.
As far as everyone comemtns on the chair being so busy you might be able to clone the blanket up a bit higher ont he chair and then crop it down a tad
all in all a good job. memories that will last

well, how else are you going to learn but by doing it again and again and with each pic getting better and better. I have learned soooo much from this forum and have ran with it. I'm by no means an expert but with the help of so many wonderful people here, I've come a long way.
