Question Incorporating newborns?

Ok so im photographing a newborn in a couple of days(he was born last night and is named Liam) but the couple already have a 1 year old called Robert who is used to the camera as ive taken photos of him beforeTime for Milk on Flickr - Photo Sharing! but no longer sits still for more than half a second.

They want photos of Liam and some with all 4 of them together, but im not sure how to do it. Any tips or examples?

Thanks

My best advice....take a LOT of pictures! You should be able to merge heads, if necessary, to get everyone looking at the camera. A 1 yo and a newborn couldn't care less about a camera or what you have to say. Snap quick, and snap a lot. You won't have much attention time.

OH, also, bring an assistant who can blow bubbles behind you. Bubbles make all children happy. Tell the parents to bring a favorite toy for the older child to play with, you can get some really cute pictures with that.

If the children were just a bit older, asking the parents to bribe the children with some type of goody after the shoot works well too.

Good luck!
