Fashion shoot and Engagement, lens??

I'm planning on attending a fashion shoot workshop in a couple of weeks. I have a Canon XS, the kit lens 18-55mm and the "nifty" 50/1.8. I'm also shooting some engagement pics for a friend around the same time. I'm thinking of renting an additional lens for the shoots. What would you recommend?

I've been shooting mainly landscape/scenic stuff and want to test the portrait waters before I commit to any more glass. Suggestions?

nothing, use the 18-55 and 50mm..
see if you like doing portraits with these.. the lens wont make "much" difference.. its the interaction with the person that will make or break this for you.

the f/1.8 gives you everyhitng you need.. and the 24-55 range in the 18-55 will give you some zoom flexibility.

(outdoors/natural light)
35mm f/1.8
85mm f/1.8
100mm f/2 (??)
24-70 f/2.8
70-200 f/2.8
