Default focusing on eyes: groups of people

Another newbie question from me ...

What do most people do when you have maybe 2 or 3 subjects in the photo to get the best focus on the eyes?

And what about larger groups of people?

Thanks for all the help so far, this community is so helpful & great!

Just try not to have too much distance between the various planes that people's eyes are on, i.e. don't have one person standing 3 or 4 feet behind someone else and expect focus to be easy.

Settings - no magic bullet for this, but I usually go f.4-5.6 minimum (maybe higher if its very large groups) and use centre focus point on the 'main' person (e.g. a bride) or a person in the middle.

I agree with the above. You cannot focus on all the eyes, so just toggle to the center focus and make sure your aperture is right for the number of people. Make sure they are all on the same plane and that your exposure is correct.
