Doing my first photo shoot tomorrow, need tips!

My wife asked me if I could do a photo shoot with her salon's staff, they want to enter a photo contest put on by one of their hair product suppliers. The topics are "Folk" and "Rock", I really have no idea where to begin with this.

I'm just getting into photography, having picked up a T1i and some lenses about 2 months ago, but really I don't have a lot of experience with groups aside from some travel pictures.

I had some good luck with a few portrait shots recently while I was experimenting with Bokeh [see blog post], that's what put the photo contest idea into their heads. *click for larger versions*



Anyway, Here's what I've done, I was hoping some of you could spot some mistakes and suggest ways to make tomorrow's shoot successful! Also if you have any ideas for the topics that'd be cool too.
