Default Tips for couple portrait of older people

I am going to be shooting an older couple this weekend (65-70) and would like any tips that might help make the portraits more flattering. For instance should I shoot from slightly above to hide the jowels?

I will be using natural light, hopefully, during the golden hour and I have a 430EX with remote trigger that I can add to the mix if needed.

Thanks in advance.

Usually, I shoot below the subject's eye level to make the portrait flattering.

my instinct would be to shoot from a higher perspective too.....i remember this image of leona helmsley i saw a few years back.....it was a behind the scenes look at a portrait session with her.....the photographer was on a ladder and leona was seated on a couch....

it tried it on a family portrait myself.....and i felt it was quite flattering to the over forty/under 65 mother.....having her face tilted up to the lens smoothed her skin quite a bit....almost like a face lift....

i would also make good use of your flash if you intend on shooting outside late afternoon....to keep shadows from finding their way into the creases of aging skin........
