Default Couple Shoot How To's?

So I wondered how you keep the flow? What do you talk about? What kind of things are brought up? I'm doing a shoot of a couple that is married and has kids. I was thinking about getting them to engage in convo about how they met....their first date...try to get them to llaugh naturally and get more candid like shots.....any other tips or ideas?

when I did this, I started talking to them about the home decor, that is what brings you closer to who they are...really makes them comfortable too! ANd talk about their pets (if they have them) People respond better to conversation about their pets then their kids

Just moved this over to photographing people since it can be a technique useful even if you aren't earning with your photography. Don't have any experience with this so no other advice from me.
