Did not say it's only candid. It's just the style I tend to like.

There are good examples on flickr of non-candid street shots.

2$ Project, 100 Strangers, etc. It's all a matter of your photography style.

I've been in numerous photo's I'm sure (countless probably), and even in the past week have been filmed (quite close) by someone I don't know, and don't plan on talking to. I'm comfortable enough with myself to not be worried. And being in a public place, (depending on your country) there is no guarantee to privacy.

Sorry this post seemed to imply that shooting street photography the non candid way is not a good idea. Anyways I am done talking about this in this thread since it is getting more and more off topic from what the OP asked.
